The bra part of the bikini also looks less like a bra and more like a device a pre-op female-to-male transsexual would use to bind her breasts.

I can definitely see her playing Black Canary now.

Or Zatanna if she let her hair go dark again. That's the only thing I don't care for - I'm not a fan of people with dark hair going blonde. I much prefer the brunette look.

Hard to believe this is the kid from My So-Called Life. I think the first time I'd realized she'd grown up was when she did Shopgirl with Steve Martin.

She looks fine in those pics. Not the best suit choice for her, but whatever. She's flat and skinny with a long torso. So what?

Now, if she had at some point been considerably heavier and only now looks that skinny, I might be convinced she was losing too much weight, but she's always been a waif.

I'd be happy to take her off someone's hands, if she's such a burden and up for grabs.

--------

On another note, picking up from last week's thread, what is the point of the sideways votes? Seriously, I don't get it. Thumbs up is a vote for. Thumbs down is a vote against ... and Thumbs Sideways is also a vote against. If you forced people to actually choose yes or no, I'd imagine you'd actually get a more accurate poll, or at least a more definitive one. Especially since sometimes the sideways is an almost yes vote and sometimes it's a not-quite-no vote. As it is, all fence-sitters become No. I would suggest that next year's polls go:

Thumbs Up (Yes) (worth 1 vote)
Thumbs Down (No) (worth 1 vote)

I don't think the board's poll set-up allows for half-votes, so I'd drop the sideways instead of trying to split it between "It Was Almost a Yes, but Not Quite" and "I Couldn't Bring Myself To Vote No".

Christ, when I do cave and vote Sideways, it feels like I'm voting for Nader.

This must have been brought up before and I'm just not remembering, but whatever the reasoning was, it still won't make sense now.

Sideways. Pretty, but not beautiful to me. I have a certain amount of affection for her work.

Wow. For all intents and purposes that is BC's costume.

Hint for the next BOTW (no direct answers):

The life story of her parents was made into a TV movie starring Loni Anderson and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Well, I definitely had to Google that one!

I absolutely loathe the show she's most known for, but she'll still get a Thumbs Up from me.

Yoda's head is going to explode, however. Just warning you guys.

Re: Claire Danes: Babe of the week #44 (Oct. 2011)

Getting back to Danes for a second. Here's (at least to me) a weird thing.

Claire Danes is a thin, WASPy looking, thirtysomething blonde with a NY theater background who tends to play lead in cerebral fare and a supporting bit in the occasional action movie.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a thin, WASPy looking, thirtysomething blonde with a NY theater background who tends to play lead in cerebral fare and a supporting bit in the occasional action movie.

Why--from a purely physical standpoint-- do I find the former so appealing and the latter so meh? And am I the only one?

Claire Danes occasionally looks sexy, particularly when her legs are shown off to good effect, but I generally find her cute but lacking in the schwing factor. Thumbs sideways then.

So this is a winners pick from last year?
This is a "golden oldie" BOW?
My IMDB hunt pulled up a 'life story' with the two mentioned stars.

I'll wait for pics before deciding on this 'classic beauty' if it's who I think.
