The way Juice's suicide was staged, with the lovely rendition of Strange Fruit and all (with the coincidental and ironic line "here is fruit for the crows to pluck,") seems to be telling us that he's dead for real. They wouldn't go thru all that hooplah for a fake-out.

However, I hope he survived. I'd feel cheated if the MC is not called to account for their racist attitudes that drove Juice to suicide, and unless he left a note - which seems out of character - they'll never know why he did it and probably just chalk it up to guilt that ultimately should be blamed on the club's drug-running (which could intensify the conflict between Bobby and Clay already underway.)

I was hoping that the Juice plot would continue until Chibs could figure out what was really going on. He's got a few of the clues already and he seems like a very clever guy who just stays in the background.

If Juice is really dead, Roosevelt is going to turn on the FBI guy.

I have a scary thought that Clay may have Jax kill Piney, giving Jax some lie about why Piney needs to die like saying that he had a role in the threats aganist Tara's life instead of the real reason which is Piney blackmailing Clay with his role in J.T.'s death. Please God, let me wrong, because if that happens, Piney's death will be a ticking bomb between Jax and Opie who have always been the best of friends. I would hate for their friendship to be destroyed by this.

I don't think Jax would believe Clay if he tried to convince Jax that Piney was involved in that threat. Jax knows Piney hates the route the club has taken in recent years; after all, remember that Piney was the first person Jax went to with J.T.'s manuscript because Piney apparently was his dad's best friend, even more so than Clay. While Jax and Clay have more or less patched over their differences in the wake of Abel's kidnapping last season, Jax isn't dumb enough to forget how scheming Clay can be (Donna...). If Clay did try to frame Piney, I think Jax would give him a chance - even if it was only at the barrel of a gun, but I don't think that's likely either.

I don't see Jax killing Piney by any instigation from Clay. Something I find ironic is that for all Clay and Gemma's fear of the letters, she hasn't told Jax about them. She did want advice from Piney and likely showed them to him at the hospital, but it's Piney threatening to bring them on stage and not Tara. Clay is going after the wrong one in looking to kill Tara. The man doesn't do a lot of thinking for the long term, does he?

I'm not sure. Roosevelt was OK with blackmailing Juice into stealing cocaine, which would have got him killed were he discovered. He also went with the fake arrest, which probably was the thing that finally drove Juice to suicide.

I hope Juice survives. I like his character and I also hope he gets the chance to face the club's racist bullshit.

Piney's role right now is to symbolize the heart and the soul of the club. Sutter choosing to have Jax kill him makes no sense whatsoever. Besides, he wouldn't make a move on Piney w/out consulting Ope in some way...etc& so on.

This might happen. Even if it does, it will still be muddied by the fact that he was a half-assed snitch. I don't want the confrontation about racism to be sullied by snitch bullshit.
