It's good to see how others write the Cardassians. It can be hard for me to write species I haven't created.

There's plenty of room for those of us who write Cardassians to invent our own takes on them. While we got some material on the show, it's not like trying to write for Star Wars or one of Tolkien's races.

Exactly. If you compare Nerys Ghemor's and my Cardassians, you will see that they have a lot in common--what we took from the show's canon--and a lot differences--what we added based on that canon when worldbuilding every detail of their world around them. There's nothing stopping you from doing that same
