http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tektite_habitat I think that illustration may have appeared in National Geographic magazine at around that time. Ha, found it: http://www.nationalgeographicstock.c...s=SE&id=619783

Re: The new Post Your Desktop thread
New desktop! Been in a sci-fi writing mode lately, so I switched to something more appropriate for that kind of setting: ![]() Yes, I do move my desktop icons around every time I change the picture so that they get in the way of the image as little as possible. I am that OCD about it.

I have keep my desktop empty--sometimes completely. Also, I cannot tell which is more scifi-ish, your AV (Sukhoi Berkut?) or the wallpaper. |

Re: The new Post Your Desktop thread
. Though there certainly is a resemblance to the Berkut, now that you mention it. The desktop wallpaper is an awesome ship design from one of the more talented 3D modelers at scifi-meshes.com. Sadly, I actually haven't seen anything from him in quite some time. Besides the ship in my wallpaper, he also did this insanely cool looking ship (which has also served as my wallpaper previously, and no doubt will do so again one of these days ). That's a pretty good shot of the D, but my goodness that's a lot of icons, I would go insane.
