But you can use the Kobo app, the B&N app, the Bluefire Reader app. And if you decide to switch from iBooks, please use one of the apps that uses ePub instead of the Kindle app. It's time Amazon moved on from it's obsolete Mobipocket format to ePub.
I hear that several times but fail to understand what I as a reader gets from ePub.
You get the pleasure of knowing you are not buying any eBooks from Apple.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I do not know what I gain as a customer if Amazon supported ePub. I already can read all my Amazon books on any device I want.
And yes, I agree about not buying books from Apple.

I haven't read as much Trek Lit recently, but I just wanted to jump on here and tell you:

If Amazon adds ePub using ADE, you gain the ability to buy eBooks (with DRM) from other sources besides Amazon. You gain a better format that's more advanced then Mobipocket. You gain compatibility with the #1 eBook format in the world. You gain two giant steps forward instead of 3 giant steps back.

What got me into TrekLit was the Genesis Wave series. It may be a jump back against the tide of recent work but it did held me onto wanting to ready more.
