Comic-Con 2011 Discussion *Spoilers*

Is anyone here attending this? Tonight is preview night and they are showing some of the pilots for shows; Alcatraz, Person of Interest, The Secret Circle, Supernatural: The Anime Series.

And of course all the CC discussion and insanity.

I wonder if DC is going to do Q&A sessions during its panels. That could be interesting.

I knew I should have bought the tickets at the event last year. This year sold out pretty quick. Definitely going to try to go again next year. Really wanted to check out the Marvel vs Capcom 3 panel, especially with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 got announced this morning.

Stay safe and watch out for those pens

Does anyone think this might be the last one with huge studio presence?

A month ago it was revealed some studios might pull out of comic con since they weren't getting back the money they invested in at Comic Con.

People that saw previews at comic co weren't impressed which led to low box office returns

Well, the studios could stay away from Comic Con, or they could just produce product that people want to see more than the stuff they are making.

Just sayin'.

Comic Con - Summer Upfronts for Scifi Geeks and Nerds

Hope whoever is going has a good time and doesn't get too injured. I think I would care more if Farscape was there and they said they got the funding for the webisodes, or the series is coming back, or something. Could be interested to see if JJ Abrams says something about Star Trek, but other than that, it's become a big bloated Hollywood fest over the last few years.

Thanks for the thread Jetfire. Hopefully it gets more attention than last year's thread got...this is my favorite time of the summer so I probably won't be on here much lol. I'll be following the news. As others have said I hope they enjoy themselves who are going and stay safe!

Thanks AY. I was hoping some people from here went and possibly saw the pilots from last night.

Well today is the first big day of the Con. Hopefully stuff will start coming in.

Deadline.com talked about the reactions to the pilots Warner Brothers previewed Wednesday night.

Seems Alcatraz was well received.

Read their story here.

I've never gone and hope to go there someday. But if the tickets are sold out, can you still get in?
