The Dark Knight did what other's couldn't, They brought Neeson back
This surprises me, honestly, as Neeson had announced a retirement from acting for the rest of this year. He'd been working nonstop since his wife's death, and filming on Taken 2 was pushed into 2012 to accommodate his need for downtime.

So while I have no reason to doubt that Neeson will appear in Dark Knight Rises, I don't expect it to be much more than a scene or two -- unless the retirement announcement was a cover story for his DKR return.

It looks pretty intimidating at night. Plus it looks pretty similar to the Wayne Manor from Batman Begins.
Doesn't Bruce have some dialogue at the end of Batman Begins stating that he plans to rebuild Wayne Manor exactly as it was? So why use a different house than the one they used in Begins?

^ Maybe the original one wasn't available, maybe they got this one cheaper, maybe the new one suited their shooting location and schedule better, maybe Bruce's architect told him that WM couldn't be re-built identically because of new building regulations, maybe they think audiences won't notice or won't care.

I would notice. But if the movie is good I wouldn't care.

The article Captaindemotion linked to earlier says this:

Exteriors and interiors for the Wayne Manor seen in "Batman Begins" were shot at Mentmore Towers in Buckinghamshire, the same place used in such films as "Eyes Wide Shut," "Brazil," "The Mummy Returns" and "Quills". That Rothschild estate is currently being redeveloped as a hotel and golf course which has probably made it unsuitable for use again.

Mentmore Towers however was designed by Joseph Paxton in 1855 to be a "near replica" of Wollaton Hall, making this the ideal alternate location. Any minor changes to the exterior can be put down to the manor's reconstruction following the fire in "Batman Begins".

Osterley Park in West London is being used for the interior shots of Wayne Manor as Wollaton Hall's interiors no longer resemble a live-in mansion.

That big-mouth Caine is at it again, this time with a throwaway line which might reveal something of a spoiler:

Incidentally, there was a supposed teaser trailer for TDKR doing the rounds over the weekend but apparently it's fake.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

I was wondering, are they doing any Thomas Wayne flashbacks in this movie? It occurred to me that since they're going full circle in this flick and bringing back Ras that they might bring back Thomas as well. Why do I ask? Well I remember they did a storyline in the comics where Bane was possibly the bastard son of Thomas Wayne. I thought perhaps that might be something they would tease with in this film as a way to justify Bane's presence. I dunno, maybe I'm just daft. Just thought that might be an interesting development. Then again I only got an hour's sleep last night so sunlight is an interesting development to me right now.

Bane being Bruce's brother is something I can very well see in a Nolan movie.

It's possible, I suppose, but Linus Roache is busy shooting Titanic for ITV.

I think the article is looking way to into a throwaway comment. Besides, how can that really be a spoiler when that is a typical Alfred job in the comics (and in the previous movies). That would like claiming "Batman punches people" is a spoiler.

I would not like such a plot twist. I like to see a series of movies grow organically rather than have shock twists retconned into the story at the last minute. Sandman being the "real" killer of Uncle Ben in Spiderman 3 felt like that and I would feel the same way about a long-lost son here.

I would be okay with the Bane plot twist. But I understand how you feel. At the age of eight I found it unlikely that Princess Leia was Luke Skywalker's sister. I've come to accept it as I've lived with it since I was eight but it was pretty tacked on.

Nolan doesn't do these kind of cheap twists. Bane being Bruce's brother would be the very motivation of the movie. I guess. Otherwise it's just a simple Batman vs. unrelated bad guy story.

In Begins it was Ra's, his mentor, and Falcone, who killed his parents.
In Dark Knight it was Two Face, which he put all his hopes in, and Joker, who only appeared because of his own existence as Batman, and who kills his love.
So I could very well see that Bane is there because he is his half brother.
