Its 10 times bigger then Kotor.

My bet is that since there will be 8 classes you can play 8 times more story.

and from what I have read if you have more than one character they will never overlap and meet each other. I want to play a jedi or a sith redemed type.

Wouldn't that be fairly obvious? You can't play two characters at the exact same time, so how would your "A" character ever be expected to meet your "B" character anyway?

From what I read, that there will be eight separate story lines for each character.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic anticipation thread.

Gabe over at Penny Arcade has been playing the beta and put up a big post with some of his thoughts today. It's here, just scroll down a bit. My favorite bit:

Turning the quests into an interactive experience makes me care a lot more about them. A quest is still a chance to get XP, money and loot but it’s also an opportunity to advance your character towards the dark or light side based on your decisions. In most MMO’s taking quests is what you do so that you can go play. In SW:TOR, taking quests is playing.

It's KOTOR with the same gameplay of World of Warcraft. It's funny, I love both of these games but I really don't give a shit about this.

So there's pre-orders, but no release date?

You get early access. Earlier than..... yeah.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic anticipation thread.

The release date is stated as "Targeted for Holiday 2011".

That's pretty much as firm as any other big ticket game's release date, and this may be the most anticipated MMO in years!
