Re: Minecraft

well after building a few thingys I thought it was time to show them off

first pic is my first house that i call house of the lost as i was always losing it. Next to it is my bridge of sighs, my first bridge which i've given up on at present

close up of the bridge of sighs, Just below is the remains of my first mine

next is my wharehouse called Romany, here i keep most of the goodies i find until i need them. just in front are my obsedian pits while the fires in front of the house are pits filled with nether rack?

No, you'd have black/dark tiles with neon edges (and detail), so it looks like something out of Tron.

Like this you mean?

Something like that. I would have used dark colours and grey as well as black, because black textures on their own can look very flat. I would have made the neons brighter aswell, and the neon detail I would have used would be similar to the black detail in your cell shaded pack.

Re: Minecraft

Okay, the first two sections of track are up and running on the server. From the town square, to over behind my house.

Please make sure to break down and stash the minecarts in the chest after disembarking, as I caught some shady characters joyriding around the map this morning.

Re: Minecraft

Those sneaky pigs! You might want to put up a sign that says "please stow minecart after use."

Yeah, signs might be an idea. The first time I rode it last night, someone left a car sitting at the end near your tree, so when I got there I just bounced off and rocketed back towards town.

Re: Minecraft

It would be cool if there was a mechanism to automatically break down the cart once you hit the end of the track.

Weeee! OHCRAP *sizzle*

I just thought of a really awesome use for pistons: making underwater bases, so that the entrance rises up above sea level, and once you're inside and press a switch it sinks back down again. That would be awesome.

Re: Minecraft

Wow, someones got some madd programming skillz!

Hmm, I'll have to move the first set of powered tracks farther down the line to avoid bounceback. I thought the new on/off buttons had fixed that problem. Also, signs are in place for two stops.

I also discovered that you can bury redtone torches underneath tracks. SO I'll have to go onto the server and tidy things up a bit. ATM I'm installing chimes in the Town Square station.

Re: Minecraft

Note that buried redstone torches will only power the track directly above, and not adjacent tracks as would be the case if the torch was placed level with the track.

You mean like the Decepticon base in the original Transformers cartoon?
