That attention to detail on the underbelly piece is awesome. It, and the D-5 from ENTERPRISE look like nice post-K't'inga designs.

I hope you go for your own nacelle designs too, unless you incline stock ones very heavily inward on the bottom so as to have the side view remain sleek.

Thank you for all the feedback.

I know the design right now looks sort of Federation'ish, but I plan on adding hull plating and the nacelles will look pretty vicious.

I reworked the top structure a little, lengthened it and added more detail. It has two shuttlebay doors. I also removed the blended rear, straight wing and extended it to compensate.

When it's all finished I'll take orthos and post them here for anyone to use.

Yeah, orthos would be very useful.

In the future something that you may want to use. The clippers used for buzz cuts often have finned attachments that might be a good front end for impulse blocks. Also, for smaller craft, a thing called a sewing foot might make good landing skids.

Thanks everyone.

I'm working out the shape for the bottom. The connection between the rear of the ball, and the lower body is something I'm still messing with so it'll probably change.

The more you progress, the more I like it. And I loved it when you were just starting. A very cool design. And, yeah, as of right now it almost looks like the "head" is hinged to look down. Maybe to scowl at it's enemies before it fires. LOL Seriously, it is looking awesome!

Wow, you're really doing a great job on this... it's fixing everything the Vorcha from TNG got wrong.

I can't wait to build it.

Absolutely great work. This is my favorite Klingon ship design so far. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Just my initial idea sketch, which I scanned and made blueprints from. After it's all finished I'll make those available for anyone that wants to make a CG version of it.

The K'tinga is one of my favorite Trek ships. Such an original design. Thank god for Matt Jefferies. At first, I was skeptical, but now that I see all the hull etching and other details I'm liking this project a lot. Keep it up!
