Netflix Instant Queue Wiped Out

Today the roku is working fine, go fig. Naturally it also seems our blu-ray service is on the down low. They are so sensitive and always come scratched up and always freeze up or won't play. I suppose that is also a catch-22 for them, where the new hardware doesn't hold up as well as DVD does in the mail. I like the instant of streaming, but sometimes you want the disc or the features.

Again, features and extra content were supposed to be coming to Instant Watch just like the individual queue options. Netflix looks like its the most, yes the top of the line in the market, but it is also starting to be unable to handle the monster its created!

I don't believe it has anything to do with any new content incoming. More likely that the Whedon shows are on the same contract as 24, X-Files and other Fox related shows that also expire on April 1st. I'm not 100% sure, but I think most of them came on at about this time last year, so it probably was a one year agreement.

As for the original problem of the OP, sounds to me like the content may have been offline, so it would have removed from all queues, then became available again, so it came back onto the queue, just out of order. Probably all went to the saved streaming area, then came back.

Some of my series are now showing up as bulked, but not all. I still haven't heard many concrete details about what caused the total netflix glitch. What the heck are they doing over there?

There's no availability date on any of the Whedon titles I have, including Firefly. I'm hoping they're not going!

It still doesn't say anything on the Website, but if you use Xbox 360, underneath the image of the Tv show/movie. it will say "Until April 1, 2011"

Ah, crap! I sold my Firefly DVDs months ago (had to), and was glad to see them available on Instant Watch! I better get my marathon going before they pull them. A warning from them would have been nice.

Okay, I just spoke with them and they said and I quote "absolutely not. We're not taking any Whedon and/or Fox shows off. They're a big part of our traffic."

The guys thinks the XBox note might be a glitch and will look into it.

Also, he said if that was happening, it'd show in the notes section in our instant queue for at least one month.

It is possible that it's going to be off for one day. Last year, about half of the season of Law & Order SVU went off at the end of a contract, then were back online 24 hours later at the start of a new one. Kind of weird, but hey, that's the world.
