Ships Of The Starfleet Museum

Something I've been working on for awhile.
All I really need to do is finish up a few textures and I’m done.

And a sneek peek at the Krechet.

The Amarillo! My favorite ship from the Museum--and looking really grand there, I must say...

I've never understood why a lot of people seem to like this fat little ship, but I appreciate it. Looks very nice, XFoz!

I think it's very cool. Masao has some awesome designs in the museum.

While I don't necessarily hold it in my canon, it's still a cool design and a good looking ship.

I presume it's the fatness itself, lending her a nice, plump clunkiness, which is anathema to the slicked-down sleek look most folks give their ships.

Great worf, Foz, she pretty much looks VFX-quality.

There are a lot of designs on Masao's site that look more credible and make more sense then most of what we saw on ENT.

I like the Amarillo as well ... probably the reason for it being so popular is the fitting mixture of nacelles and what we know from Daedalus' (spherical) hull; on the Krechet already the (in-official and probably not applicable) rule of nacelles in the aft is violated ...

UPDATE...
Started on textures for torpedoe doors and side cannons.

A shot with torpedoe doors down.

Added airlock textures and more work done on the side cannons.

I see it as coming after the 2001 Discovery, or this http://up-ship.com/blog/?p=9388

^The Discovery does not exist in the Trek Universe, nor the Heinlein ship.
