Nikon D7000 DSLR, only with a different lens; 3 different lenses, actually. I've been wanting to get back into some semi-serious photography for a long time now (especially for the travel we have planned this coming year), and the time was finally right. I'm really enjoying learning all its capabilities, if a little intimidated.
Nice new baby. Very, very nice.

I bought a couple "professional-looking" track jackets to wear at work because my office is kinda chilly.

And while I didn't actually make this purchase, my new job bought me a Blackberry Torch with a full data plan.

Welcome to the modern workplace's version of a permanently-shackled ball & chain. If you've never had a job that provides you with a cellphone before, my strong advice is to turn it off the instant you go off-duty (unless you have a clear cast-iron contractual obligation to be contactable) and never ever check work email or phone messages until you turn it on again at the start of the next working day.

Use a personal phone out of hours, and never ever reveal that number to anyone at work.

Last thing I purchased were a bunch of textbooks, which I think will come in very useful in the not too distant future.

I just got a new home theater system for myself (because my Klipsch sub finally blew after 7 years) and a new home theater receiver for my mom because her LG Receiver/DVD Player blew:

Oh, that's definitely the plan...although, really, I'd like to find a way to switch the phone numbers between the two phones. The one work bought me is way better than my personal phone!

Ooh, nice jacket, Niorah!
Thanks!

It's still way too cold here to wear it, so it gives me one more reason to wish for Spring.

In the meantime I just look at it from time to time and sigh.

Thank you. I'm really happy with it. Still learning what all it's capable of, but the process is fun.

Nice unit. I think this may be coming up on my purchase list before long. I may look you up for advice. My 6 year old Yamaha unit is actually still fine ..., but it doesn't have enough inputs for all our various devices. Was okay not to have the Wii go through the receiver ... until we started using it to watch Netflix content.

In fact we'll be there opening day! Had to go to StubHub to get the damn tickets though...ah well, at least it'll be fun.
What games are you going to?? So far I know I'm going to the May 21st game against the Mets.

At the Cell: April 7 and 8 vs. Rays.
Wrigley: April 5 and 6 vs. Diamondbacks.

If the lunch I had yesterday from Burger King counts, then sure, your pizza does too.
