Who? Oh, that girl from Friends, the show that stopped being funny five years before they shut it down. Who the hell cares anymore? Shes pretty much riding on the stumbling coat tails of friends, the fact shes good looking, and that she was once married to Brad Pitt.

Shes an okay actress, but lets face it, the reason she got that part on Friends was not because she was funny or talented. Anyone see her cameo on '30 Rock'? Awful. But hey, shes got expensive business people working for her, so guess who gets an Emmy nomination!

Who the hell cares anymore. Shes attractive, but there are tons of attractive girls.

So now I've gone from being confused about people not finding her attractive to being amazed at the hate being thrown her way.

So when did the BOTW thread become a platform for bashing the nominee of the week? Is it always like that because honestly I don't normally spend a lot of time in these threads?

Maybe I'm out of touch, has she done something horrible that I'm not aware of?

No, it's not usually like this. It's happened a few times before, though. It tends to be very famous actresses who have a significant number of detractors, like Kirsten Dunst and, funnily enough, Angelina Jolie.

Interesting. I know whether someone finds her attractive or not is strictly a matter of "different strokes for different folks," but I'm honestly perplexed by the genuine disdain for her. I'm racking my brain and I don't recall any Lohan/Sheen/Gibson-like incidents with her.

I guess I'll just dismiss this thread as one of these incidents that I'm unable to comprehend.

I dunno. This one I can understand. I think calling her a "goddess" is over stating her looks a bit, really skinny women seldom fare well in these things, being in her 40s isn't likely helping her cause any, there's a lot of "baggage" with her with things like being a smoker and her life in the media and then there's the baggage of her career with it being "popular" anymore to dislike Friends and Aniston's post-Friends career hasn't been spectacular. So I can see why the votes wouldn't be so favorable to her.

This sums up the situation very well. Ms Aniston has an ordinary pretty quality about her, much like Sally Field. Coupled with her career past, and the paparazzi and there develops over-exposure of an actress of good quality with a resume too thin on solid success. The perception develops of her not being all that much.
