If we'd gotten a good reboot out of ST09 and a truly fresh take this design is light years ahead of JJ's Fuglyprise.
Agreed.
Are you serious?

And let me reiterate, I love this ship and especially what LordSarvain has done with it, but I don't see that it could be the same ship as TOS-1701.
No amount of treknobabble would have made me believe this was anything other than a brand new ship (unless that was their plan, I never read the POTT script or the novel)

I mean, we got major hate for the JJprise even though it was an alternate universe ship. If there was an internet in 1979 and this concept showed up on screen,
even as beautiful as it is here, it would have been one huge WTF-fest.

Hello??? We're talking about a clean and honest reboot with zero ties to previous continuity. In that light you could make the ship look like anything you want.

The design JJ Abrams brought to the big screen was just aesthetically displeasing (I'm being nice here). It took a design that was suppose to be utilitarian and tried to put an artsy spin on it... and it didn't work.

Got to be honest, the design and modeling above are light years ahead of the Abramsverse version.

LordSarvain, the above modeling of your Enterprise is excellent. I would love to see it in a Star Trek movie.

JJAbrams 1701 design(along with the engineering brewery set) is his passive-agressive way of giving the old fans the finger.

No, only some of them, a good chunk of which are probably the annal retentive type who think they actually own it.

No, only the annal retentive ones who are convinced Star Trek is a religon.
I don't mind changes in Star Trek from 1966 to the present. I just was disappointed by these two things in the JJ movie, not the story and not the actors. Just two items in the production design(the 1701 exterior design and the engineering brewery). That is all.

Wow those are all just beautiful. Any chance for interior designs or is that too much to ask for?

This old fan disagrees.

And I'm sure Adam would love this interpretation of his design, LordSarvain.

Looking good, both ships. I would just make the wings a little more angled down, They are a bit... hummm... to much openned.

You should Enter that Titan Enterprise here http://www.startrekonline.com/enterprise
That and the Grandeur, and the Probert Ambassador class would all be finalists--along with the Constellation

An update, still working on this, added some windows to the primary hull, added a small bit to the bridge (can't really see it in these) and started work on a space dock. Right now I'm working on textures so I'll some more pics soon (relatively)..

That's really awesome. Even if I can't buy it as a refurbished Enterprise, this is a truly amazing mesh. Great work, my Lord!

If I were you, I'd drop out every other finger in your drydock. As is, it looks like it would make maneuvering large pieces in and out of position impractical.
