Superman (casting, rumors, pix till release)

I posted the casting announcement in the Zack Snyder will direct Superman thread, but maybe an official thread for Superman until it's release, which is a ways off, is in order.

so here goes Superman will now be played by:

As I said in the other thread, Cavill was attached to play Superman when McG was going to direct.

Yeah, I remember his name being tossed around back then and other than Stardust, not familiar with his work. He certainly brings a level of sophistication to the part from the looks of it.

I hadn't heard this until I logged into this thread (congrats on starting one Obi-Wan). Good choice, from what I've seen of him. I do feel a little sorry for Brandon Routh but Cavill was also in the running before (as well as for 007), so at least his disappointment in the past has now been made up for.
