actors testing for Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

What, no Robert Pattison?

Now we can tell you the list of actors who'll be screentesting for the role of young Abe Lincoln this week and next: Benjamin Walker, James D'Arcy, Adrien Brody, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Josh Lucas, and Timothy Olyphant. It's a very interesting mix of semi-knowns and unknowns, stage and screen vets.

Olyphant is way too good looking for Abe! My quatloos are on Brody. He was pretty buff in that Predator movie and Abe of course must be buff.

I think it's an awesome idea. The main problem is finding a tall, skinny, ugly actor to play Abe. Not too many of those in Hollywood, judging from the actors trying out for the role.

I just finished reading it. It's pretty good and ties in the slavery issue and Vampires using them as cattle.

The actor who is playing Lincoln doesn't actually have to be Lincoln's height. Just surround him with actors who are shorter, like most the cast of nuBSG.

Look how tall Grace Park looks next to Scott Caan.

Tom Hardy was first approached but turned down the role due to his upcoming schedule for "The Dark Knight Rises". We had an entire thread about the concept and book several months ago. Out of those listed I'm not sure who would be best for the role. Maybe Benjamen Walker...I dunno.
