Bought a new glass vase from Habitat in their sale as I broke an old one some months ago and never got round to replacing it until now. Then bought some roses to put into it.

Did some grocery shopping and filled up the car too. Was surprised to notice that the cost of V-Power petrol is now up to 134p per litre.

^LOVE the movie.

Today, I bought a 12-pack of throwback Dr. Pepper, some frozen pizzas (for a friend's pizza-party) and a 12 inch turkey sandwich from Subway. That covered lunch and dinner for me.

Re: Your latest purchases, cont.

I just bought myself one of these off eBay.

Except mine doesn't have a hole, unfortunately. However I have seen on UK eBay that does have a hole and I will buy that next payday. Sometimes these things have two holes i.e another hole at the bottom of the handle.

I wonder how many people here know what these things are used for?

I know what it is, and what it's for. But were you aware the name of the item is in the title of the picture, so that all you have to do is click on it and it tells you what it is?

Oops, I should have thought of that. Silly me.

Anyway it has been identified by you in the "What is it" thread so I don't need to change the name of the picture's title.

It has been a long time since I used a lucet but they are very easy to use so I should pick the skill up again very quickly.

It's the first day of the sales, so I bought new shoes, 2 sweaters and a t-shirt.

Oh, and some cool martini glasses.

^ I saw a similar design somewhere else a while back. They always make me think they're a quick way of bypassing the need to have the first couple of Martinis to make the stems look like that.

Quite fun.

They're an investment, but they will pay themselves back quite quickly.

Same here. Ordered that, and a couple of Star Trek trade paperback comic collections I didn't have from Amazon yesterday morning.

Spoiled myself and bought several things, including these earrings. Quirky but I thought they were adorable.
