AM HAVING A FIREFLY MARATHON!!! WOO!HOO!

I finally convinced a group of my non nerdy and nerdy friends to a Firefly marathon! Hooray! This should be fun.

^ Way cool. Any Firefly virgins there? If so, I bet that they convert.

Yeah, I'm the only one out of my friends that's seen it

You must require everyone to wear a brown coat.

When I saw "Serenity" in the theater, I convinced my friend to wear a brown leather jacket along with me. That's almost the only time I've ever dressed up for a movie. We were the only ones in the theater who did it.

When I saw it in the theater, before the previews started, I was sitting there going "Serenity now!!! Serenity now!!!" like Jerry Stiller on Seinfeld.

By complete coincidence I'm sure, the "Serenity now!" rerun of Seinfeld aired on opening night. At least in Pittsburgh.

Well, I'm certainly gonna wear one. But I nearly always wear a browncoat. 'It was on sale'

That is only deepening my anti-coincidence bias.

I'm sure there will be at least one in the group who hates it -- there always is.

Make sure to say "It gets better!" after the first episode.

^ There shouldn't be a need to, if he starts with "Serenity" instead of "The Train Job." Damn fine pilot, "Serenity" was.

Sounds great! It seems out of all the shows I introduce to people, Firefly is the one that the most people seem to like. I even know quite a few sci-fi haters who warm to the show. I think people really connect with it's humor and fun lighthearted atmosphere.

A television marathon can be great with the right crowd. I've hosted an annual event for several years when the new season of 24 is released (season 8 came out today, so we are looking for a good date now). Just be sure to stock up on the drinks and foods of your choice.

Serenity is the first episode, no one cares about airdates.

Serenity was boring, it's a fine boring pilot.

Serenity wasn't the pilot. Wash was the pilot!
