I was bored during the summer and picked up the discs to watch from family Video and watched seasons 1-4 in like a week and a half. Was hooked after that mostly because of Lionel and Lex Luthor as well as Lana Lang.

Agreed though...she does get a bad rap. I've always been a staunch supporter of Kristen Kruek over the years. I still maintain that most of Lana's failures as a character were not her fault but are all on the writers.

But a lot of people here can't separate the actor from the character. Which makes no sense, but what can you do?

It's not Kreuk's fault the writing staff was masturbating every time they were writing Lana-centric episodes.

Well, yeah, that's the problem is that Lana's character was treated terribly so, yeah, the "hate" gets passed on to her. She always vapid, the story grinds to a halt when she comes around, GOD don't get me started on the Barness of Mopitude scenes with her and, ugh, just the way everyone kept saying she was perfect, beautiful and to be admired.

When, really, she was average-looking at best. Smallville has far better looking girls in it, one of whom Clark was friends with.

She was put on a huge pedestal so it was easy to knock her down.

Besides, Lana is supposed to be a firery red-headed chick.
