I liked the Watchmen movie as well and no problem with this actor.

I wouldn't mind a slightly CGI Superman in that they use motion capture and the CGI kind of augments the costume. In the comics, they can use shadow and texture that do not appear in the movies. So CGI could be used to make the muscles stand out or be more defined. Even Reeve and Routh lost their muscles with that big suit on. They had the bulk, just not the definition if that makes sense.

It's hard to say why a guy who derives his strength from an un-human physiology and has been superstrong since birth would have big muscles anyway. It's not like he's ever had to struggle to lift something.

Oh, there's not much question that they're going to "ruin" Superman from a traditional POV. Might as well be a memorable train wreck, and it may well be successful to boot.

I think that some of Superman in Returns was CGI'd, when in flight and so forth. But at least Brandon Routh looked like Superman. Matthew Good - not so much.

Ditto for the CGI enhanced bs.

Well, Zack Snyder has gone on record as saying he's isn't even going to start working on Superman until Sucker Punch is out (which isn't until March, if I recall correctly), so I wouldn't give this "news" very much credence.

I actually hope that this *is* true. There isn't much point in hiring someone as batshit crazy as Zach Snyder for a Superman film if you aren't going to use him to give the property a much needed kick in the ass.

I hope he does something completely insane and absurd with it. This would be a good start.
