We have a great colorist, Gina Lockhart, and I'm sure she'll contribute a great deal to determining what the final look will be.

I think Nick looks damn heroic.

Though there's something weird going on in the last image. Nick's hair looks as if someone reinforced it with some leftover carpet pieces.
My hair needs no reinforcement. Even Captain Robau fears my hair.....

United Worlds Entertainment has entered preproduction on the short science fiction film "Polaris" starring Paul R. Sieber ("Star Trek: Phase II," "Law And Disorder").

Set centuries in the future, Polaris tells the story of an interstellar starship lost in uncharted space. To get home again Captain Sam Fredericks, Valerie Young and the crew of the star cruiser Polaris must defeat an implacable enemy and solve the mystery of an impossible planet. Their discoveries will change humanity forever - if they survive.

United Worlds plans to begin production in Fall 2009. Principal photography will take place at studios in Maryland and on location in the Delaware/Maryland/Virginia region.

Further information is available at http://www.starshippolaris.com.

Any more plot details since this?

Re: "Polaris"

Well, we'll release a trailer eventually. That's probably the next level of information, beyond stills and art design and behind-the-scenes stuff.

This is some labor of love--very attractive crew and top-notch production values.

My only observation would be the lack of racial diversity...for what it's worth.

Either that or he's addicted to the Superman movies.

Someone at the FB group has also made the "kneel before Zod" observation...which oddly enough, had not occurred to me. I can certainly see it now.

Garrett actually brings nobility to "Gaitanis," who's not a megalomaniac and is hardly an evil guy - I'd say that, if anything, he's been under a lot of stress lately.
