Let's just expand the episode of The Real Ghostbusters where Peter becomes a super-hero into a full-length script.

I had an idea on how to open Ghostbusters 3. The three original ghostbusters are battling a ghost but they get sloppy and one of them gets hurt. Venkman decides to franchise the whole thing(money!) and send out applications for new recruits
What about Winston?

I liked his comment best, "Don't read much into this, it was just all I had clean."

Surely his willingness to done Venkman's uniform shows more eagerness on his part to do a GB3 than some press on the matter has given commentary to the contrary. Of late anyway.

I like that idea, as long as they don't accept anyone like Justin Bieber or Larry the Cable Guy.

Maybe a cameo by the ghost hunters. I guess there could be a danger of tarnishing the image of the Ghostbusters being glorified bug exterminators.

I thought it was very in character for them to be chain smoking in the first movie.

He doesn't have a problem with doing another Ghostbusters -- he's been willing to do it since 1992, when the subject first came up (though at that time, he and Ramis weren't on speaking terms, so he said, "Fine, I'll do it, but I want a percent of the gross that the last movie earned, plus a huge paycheck to go with it"). He has a problem with doing another Ghostbusters that's more action / effects-oriented than comedy (or just has a shitty script), after he got burned on Ghostbusters II.

He also supposedly has (or had might be a better word since he did Garfield 2) a thing against sequels.

Murray has notoriously been hard to read. Is he serious or is he joking? I think him doning the uniform may be a way of him saying that he's ready to do the movie. Obviously he loves the fans and wants I think the fan reaction gives him hope that GB3 could be sucessfull. If they do get a "next generation" then i hope that the old guys get equal screen time and not just cameoes, like Spock got Star Trek 09. I'm looking for old guy dominated movie who pass the torch to the new guys. I want to see some balance. Any suggestions on who the new guys should be? Zach Galafinakus? Ben Stiller? Cris Rock? Will Ferel?

If Ben Stiller, Chris Rock and Will Ferrell are in, I'm out. I can't stand them. The movies they are in usually have low-brow humour that I just can't see the Ghostbusters using. Zach Galafinakus is a good suggestion. I'd also suggest Paul Giamatti as I mentioned earlier.

Bill said in the interview he did with GQ a couple months ago that he would do another Ghostbuster's film if he liked the script, the key word being HE. So if they present Bill with a script and it blows him away then look for actual work to start and casting news to flow. I don't expect we will hear anything significant any time soon though.

I like Sammy's idea about one of the Ghostbusters getting hurt and yeah where is Winston in that though? Did you guy see the pic on that Ghostbusters III blog of Eliza Dushku wearing a proton pack?

I honestly didn't think much about him. If you look back at the last two movies it heavily leans toward the big three that started Ghostbusters

Even in the courtroom scene in part 2. There's the moment when Venkman, Ray and Egon suit up. I know Winston wasn't charged with breaking the road but still.

It's always been about Aykroyd, Murray,Ramis.

It's the star trek phenomenon when two or three actors get the most focus
