Downey could just play the female role too, right?
Sure, why not? He's already played an Australian actor playing a black actor playing a black man in Vietnam. He can pull off merely getting a sex-change this time around no problem I'm betting.

His schedule needs to fit in 'Sherlock Holmes 2" though so he couldn't even if he wanted to lol.

Should Nat turn Cuaron down...Sandra Bullock is next on the docket...

It's movie science and anyone who knows anything about movie science knows that it's about as accurate as most "based on real events" stories. In otherwords, there's a grain of truth to it somewhere but the majority of it is just embellishment and fake.

Sadly no. But it's also the other movie.

Okay...if Clooney is aboard this movie is going to be awesome. I'm already excited about this but yeah that'd be an excellent replacement for RDJ.

Interesting...not sure that I'm thrilled about Bullock. I like Sandra's work but not really sure she's right for this particular role.

I'm a big fan of Sandra and am exited to see her in it, so i guess the only way for us to see if she can do it is for her to try.

Who would you prefer in the role? xx

I'll watch Clooney in almost anything, but I can't say I'm thrilled with Bullock.

George Clooney interview:

"It's a two-hander with only two actors in the whole film. It is a very odd film, really. Two people in space. No monsters. It's more like 2001 than an action film."
"It is the first time I've been in 3-D and, hopefully, the last time. " Not that he has seen the results. "It's not near ready yet. They just showed the first cut to the studio. "

Sounds a little like Moon in which the lead actors are the film...
Maybe a little more cerebral or like Solaris remake he was in where its more psychological.

Having read the script it is definitely cerebral and psychological along the lines of "Moon". I'm still excited for this film.
