Reminds me of how Kevin Smith described his work on the Superman Reborn script.

A movie aiming low should not be praised for hitting that target.

Yeah that was Jon Peters who Kevin was referring to. In the behind the scenes documentary for "Superman Returns" there's a bit where Peters is praising Bryan Singer saying stuff like "I should have listened to him from the start. This guy knows exactly Superman is all about and is making a kick ass film" That's not his exact quote but I couldn't help but laugh thinking about the complete 180 from Smith to Singer. LOL
