Gotta be ITPM. DS9 has many 10/10 masterpiece episodes, but ITPM is as perfect as it gets.
I agree, quite possibly the best episode in all of Star Trek.

Re: DS9: Your Favorite EPISODE Of The Series.

My favorite episodes:

1. In the Pale Moonlght (and yes, it is the best episode of Star Trek)
2. The Visitor
3. Improbable Cause/The Die is Cast
4. Favor the Bold/Sacrifice of Angels

Runners-up (in no particular order): Duet, For the Uniform, Doctor Bashir, I Presume, The Siege of AR-558, It's Only a Paper Moon, The Wire, In Purgatory's Shadow/By Inferno's Light, Statistical Probabilities, Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges, The Changing Face of Evil, Tacking into the Wind, What You Leave Behind....

It's a long list.

If I can choose only one, difficult because there was so many good ones, it would be "Duet"
It was a great episode when it first aired..and still is
The other Trek shows dont really have this kind of classic in their 1st seasons

Not an original answer by any means but it's probably ITPM.

The Visitor - it may be the best episode of Trek
QFT. I totally agree with this, and say it every time -- best Trek episode, period. This automatically makes it the best DS9 episode...

It's a tie between Adversary and Call to Arms. Although there are a lot of others that are not far behind, though.

I loved Adversary because it feels like it is kicking off a new chapter where things start to heat up within the series. I also loved Call to Arms because it was just explosively awesome and well written, too.

Another vote for "In the Pale Moonlight". I also love "Trials and Tribble-ations" and "Take Me Out to the Holosuite".

Oh my God - someone actually considers "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" a good episode? I'm not hatin' on ya, I'm just shocked beyond belief. And because I want to bash my own head in any time I see that episode.

These days I think I'd say Hard Time. Though The Visitor and Improbable Cause/The Die Is Cast are very close.

A lot of people enjoy that episode as a comedy. I didn't like it at all when I first watched it, partly because I was 13 and wanted the show to get back to the space battles, partly because I had no understanding of baseball. But when I saw it again on DVD and chose to accept it as the light-hearted romp that it is, I realised it was actually a good comic episode. DS9's cast fragmented a lot in the later seasons and it was rare for them to do a big ensemble episode, so I think it was good for them to have an episode like this in the final season. I feel the same way about Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang, I hated it at first but came to enjoy it on DVD. I don't consider either of them to be classic episodes, but they're fun.

As for the topic of the thread, I've got to go for ITPM, because it had badass Sisko with a healthy dose of Garak.
