With the darkness of the third, what about a venom spidy. Maybe a whole new reality, or just one of the old what if's, where he never got rid of the symbiote?

I like that they are tailoring the special costumes to each reality though, not just one for everyone.

Just as everyone thought: one of the two remaining Spideys is indeed the 2099 version:

Re: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

It's definitely a cool concept, but it'll really just come down to waiting and seeing whether the gameplay is any good. (No cosmic Spidey for me.)

Re: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Picked this up yesterday, had a bit of a play through the first 3 levels.

There is a little bit of an Arkham Asylum feel here, they seem to have incorporated some of the game mechanics over from the Batman game. The fight engine, web zipping to ledges, Spidey sense & the stealth elements seen in the 'Noir' segments are pretty much lifted directly from Batman AA.

So far it's pretty cool gameplay wise. The voice acting is also decent, and they seem to have captured Spidey's sense of humour better than the Toby McGuire films.

The only real downsides so far are a few annoyances with the camera when trying to crawl on walls/ceilings, a very linear level structure with invisible walls to keep you on the straigt and narrow, and what seems to be a rather weak story (in comparison to Batman).

Still, so far I have to say it's a lot of fun.

Anyone else been playing it?

It was originally a costume worn by Miguel O'Hara, Spider-Man in the year 2099, during a Mexican Day of the Dead festival. Personally I think it looks great (though I've always been a Spidey 2099 fan).

Haven't had a chance to play this yet, but I do plan on checking it out soon. It'd be nice to have a good Spider-Man game again.
