Re: Movie Quotes That Pop in Your Head/You Use

One I always want to use, and have to try hard not to in business meetings (back in the day when I still worked) is:

"You're telling me what you need, I'm telling you what we have to work with. I'm not making this stuff up." From Apollo 13.

One more that I picked up from a movie (can't remember which one) that I use to comment on other people's driving :

"Are you trying to drive or are you using The Force?!?!"

I sometimes say "that wasn't such a chore, now was it?" to myself after accomplishing something.

"I say we nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure." A paraphrase, but very useful in a lot of situations.

And of course, "Excellent", in a Mr. Burns voice.

Occassionally -- and I got someone else quoting it now:

"Fuck the fucking fuckers!"

My response to someone asking me to do just one more thing when I'm busy: "You know, I'd love to, but I've got a war to start, a wife to kill, and Guilder to blame for it. I'm swamped!"

For no real reason: "Why am I covereds in goo?"

I don't dress up for Halloween so when asked I say "I'm a homicidal maniac, they look just like everyone else."

"Damn you, vile woman!"

"I know you are but what am I?"

"Fiddle-dee-dee."

"U-G-L-Y you aint got no alibi."
wouldn't be complete without this:

Really like using: "You ugly, you oogly."

"God damn it! I'd piss on spark plug if I thought it'd do any good."

Really I watch too many movies and too much TV, cause there are more.

I recently quoted Scarface (no, not that one) upon leaving the table after losing badly at Poker.

When an old Italian peplum or sword-and-sandal epic shows up on TV, I'll randomly ask someone, “Do you like movies about gladiators?”

When the topic is drugs or drug smuggling, I'll try to work “Peppermint-flavored heroin!” into the conversation somewhere.

And I use the classic catchphrases from Wayne's World whenever the opportunity presents itself:

“She will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine.”

“We're not worthy! We're not worthy!”

“Exqueeze me? Baking powder?”

“She's a robo-babe. She's magically babealicious.”

“Yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt.”

And, of course. . . SCHWING!

"I knew it! I'm surrounded by Assholes!"

Once on a family trip, my sister asked me why I brought my hair dryer from home when hotels usually have them in the rooms. I replied- "That is my industrial strength hair dryer. AND I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!"

"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking (or drinking, amphetamines, sniffing glue)!"

"Don't call me Shirley."

"I speak Jive." Yeah, I really managed to work that one into a conversation. Can't remember what was going on then, but everyone got the quote instantly!

I've used "yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt" before, too.

It's sad that I recognized that quote. I haven't seen Wargames in at least 5 years.

My qoute from a movie/tv series is "That sound more like a plan F as in we're f..." Colonel O'Neill SGA

but my allround favourite is "The best weapon if mankind is not the lies itself but the amount of truth that it appears to be lies." or something like that. dunno who said it.
