And, yeah, SUPERMAN: THE MOTION PICTURE definitely opened around Christmas time. I remember catching it during the holiday break back in college.

I still say The Middleman's Matt Keeslar would be an ideal Superman, Captain America, or any square-jawed boy-scout hero you can name. Although he'd be more a Silver Age-style Superman, while Bomer would be more of a Post-Crisis or Lois & Clark-style Superman/Clark.

Superman is canonically 6'3", as are Tom Welling and Brandon Routh (and Patrick Warburton, who played Superman in some Jerry Seinfeld short films). Christopher Reeve was 6'4".
