Nice. If I showed that to my 15 year old, she'd have no idea what it was...

Re: The first single you purchased
![]() Ah yes, I remember it well. Reminds me of a story. I have a friend who's a high school music/theater teacher. He brought in an album -- a vinyl album -- to share some song with his kids. It was already on the turntable, and he asked one of the students to play a particular song. He said the kid just looked at the turntable, back at him, back at the turntable and finally confessed that she had no earthly idea what to do to start the music. *sigh*

Re: The first single you purchased
![]() I think the first single I bought might have been A Kind of Magic, although I really can't remember now. The first single I was given was The Birdie Song by The Tweets.

Re: The first single you purchased
I'm sure my daughter wouldn't know what it was either. Pretty sure my first single was "She Loves You" by the Beatles (would anyone have NOT recognized the song if i had just mentioned the title and not the artist? If so, get offa my lawn!) Once, around the time my daughter was 12 we walked into an antiques store and they had a dial telephone. My daughter actually asked me how was it used.

Re: The first single you purchased
A few years ago my husband was taking an LP off the record player and my daughter's friend, then about 11, said, "Wow, that's a large CD!" The look on the face of my 40-something husband was priceless.
