I wonder what kind of atmosphere Ridley Scott would have in this prequel film? horror & heavy tension like Alien (1979) or or more of a horror scifi film like Event Horizon (1997) or a glossier scifi film with some horror elements? |

(BFE) I never watched it after seeing paned worse than a Simon Cowel verbal bashing.

Hell if Ridley Scott made a prequel to 'Wizard of Oz' which explains how Dorothy ended up orphaned and colour blind, or a sequel to 'Seven Samurai' where the dead ones come back as zombies and start up barbershop quartet on a Mississippi steamboat, I'd go see them!

Will the xenos be smurf blue? ![]() Yeah and I KNOW that is not what Scott meant but I just have to vent that Avatar is being used as some kind of benchmark. |

And it will be until it's surpassed in any way. Movies are made by people who are in the business of making movies and understand that business, not by fannish critics. They can go ahead and ignore Avatar and become irrelevant; they know that.
