I don't have much of a point. My only observation was that Barb likened the TTI release to another ambitious project--one that wasn't rushed and ultimately had amazing results. Being not too knowledgable on the subject, I personally thought that Michelangelo worked on the ceiling for, well, decades, because of the incredible final result. I was surprised to learn (and I thought others might be interested to know) that he actually knocked it out in about four years. Great results--but not actually as lengthy a process as I had thought it was.

It was just an interesting and surprising bit of trivia. I wouldn't try to read any more into my comment than that. I apologize that my comment might have been tinged with something that wasn't really intended.

I still get tensed up thinking about... we were left on such a cliffhanger. It really is wide open as to what will happen in that final act.

I sure hope it's soon. I could use a really good dose of Trek (and please Barbreader, don't tell me about all the other fan productions I could be watching in the meantime -- unless you know of any that are at the same level of Quality as Exeter-Farragut-PhaseII).

Frankly, I don't know what the hold-up is. I've seen several cuts of Act 4 over the years and -- with the effects shots (which I think are done, but I could be wrong) -- it could be buttoned up fairly quickly.

Sadly, I can relate to the rumor that Jimm is a perfectionist. (I say "Rumor" because I don't know him)
I've been working on a CG model of the Baton Rouge class for WAY too long and keep redoing parts of it because some tiny little thing that no one will notice is "wrong".
Sometimes it just isn't healthy to be a perfectionist.

However, when a perfectionist puts some type of art on display there's usually praise. That makes it worth it, I suppose.

...but I really want to see Act IV today. Since I can't, I wait.

Indeed. How many people would be able to accomplish anything if they didn't follow that philosophy at some point..

I would have never finished my first studio project.

It's one reason that I've quite enjoyed crash projects like the 48 Hour Film Project, where you are forced to complete something in a ridiculously short time. Deadlines are often more a help than a hindrance.
