I've never played an MMO before, but it's Star Trek, couldn't pass that up.

I'd like to join. Just bought the game on Steam so should be up and running shortly I hope.

If I ever get the game purchase approved by Steam so I can download it I will.

I don't like downloading games, preferring to have a hard copy in hand, but my Wal-Mart didn't have the game and I don't want to wait for it to come in the mail. Don't have anywhere else to go to purchase PC games nearby.

^When I downloaded the game from online for the open Beta (Which I ended up not being able to play

) it took 12 hours to download the file...

I HAVE mine... it's right here on my desk... but I installed it on my computer and the graphics card isn't good enough... so... I'm going to buy a new laptop (Yes, I want to play this that bad

) and well... it might be a while... I have to see how much I get in my bonus at work, which I get the 19th, and then if I still don't have enough, I'll have to wait another two weeks for my next paycheck... So... It might be a month till I'm on... But, my username is RobertMichaels, and I'll come back here once I've got the new computer, and my character created...

Okay, I have copied everyone who has given me a handle and next time I am on (which will be as soon as I finish this post) I will send out friend invites to you all.
Then next time there are enough people on at the same time I will send out team invites and we can put the Fleet together.

How does this work? Do you send out invites to all interested parties?

Steam declined my credit card. My credit card has never been declined before, ever, anywhere else. So I intend to to decline Steam, permanently.

Who knows when I'll get the game now.

I have sent friend invites to everyone who gave me full name.
That is Toonname@Cryptichandle for example. Without a character name attached to your handle the game will not let me send the invite.
Once you are on my friends list we can see when we are playing. I will check my friends list and if I see enough of us on at once to form a full team of five I will send a team invite to you. I think (based on how it worked in Champions) that all five team members will have to show up at Spacedock to form the Fleet.
So, if you are playing one day and you get a Team invite from aelius (whichever toon I am playing) please accept. If you are in the middle of a mission get back to me as soon as you can and let me know how long you need to finish and I can invite you when you are done and off of your team if you are on one.
Currently I have three toons, Elric, Coryn and Ferretti. You can find me, if you are looking, under one of these names @aelius.

I'm getting the hang of the social system. It's very different from what I'm used to (WoW). I like it better, though, I know that much.

The TrekBBS Armada is in being.
I have sent invitations to everyone who has given me their full Toonname@Cryptichandle. Anyone else interested should post that info here and I will send an invite.
If you have any real life friends whom you would like to adventure with, feel free to invite them into the fleet as well.
I still need to set the Fleet Uniform. I am leaning towards the TNG movie/DS9 uniforms. If anybody has any suggestions for this I would like to hear them.
