I know that Wesley Snipes was in talks to portray Black Panther, but Snipes wasn't showing any strong acting chops...and, of course, he isn't marketable now.

I haven't heard anything on it; I'm glad that BET is putting on something 'different' because I haven't been happy with the way the channel turned out. (I used to watch the show growing up when Donnie Simpson was on, as well as the delicious Sherry Carter)...

Come to think of it: Sherry Carter was FOINE...!*





*Disclaimer for those not familiar with slang: 'Foine' is actually 'fine' said with some feeling and gusto....i.e. Zoe Saldana is FOINE, Parminder Nagra is FOINE; of course, being on the internet....I can't demonstrate.

I also think it's hilarious I'm giving a disclaimer on African-American slang...
