Re: Who's got a Wii?
Anyway, here's some suggestions for games that fell under the radar. Best part about these games is you'll probably be able to get most of them for under $20. House of the Dead 2 & 3 - Fantastic port of two light gun classics from SEGA. Ghost Squad - An original (and deeper) light gun game. Zack & Wiki - Monkey Island type Point 'n Click adventure game. Dewy's Adventure - 3D Platformer Kororinpa - Similar to Marble Madness (NES) or the Super Monkey Ball series. Elebits - Exploration/Puzzle game Klonoa - An enhanced port of the fantastic 2D platformer on the PSX. Pretty easy game. Okami - Enhanced (kinda) port of this excellent PS2 Zelda clone. Heavenly Guardian - Excellent co-op multiplayer game that plays like Pocky & Rocky (SNES). Or if you're not familiar with that game a top down Contra. I warn you though it's not an easy game despite its colourful graphics. Castle of Shikigami III - 2D vertical shooter. Although again this game isn't easy. Rune Factory Frontier - It's Harvest Moon with an RPG slant. Blast Works - I know nothing about it, but it's supposed to be a pretty good semi-casual game. Also the Phoenix Wright series will be getting released on Wii Ware each month starting in January (so the fourth game will be released in April) for about $8 - $10 per game. Quite possibly the best franchise to come out in the past decade.

Re: Who's got a Wii?
There's also The Lost Winds and the sequel on the Wiishop channel. I think both are games are definitely the prettier looking games on the Wii: Muramasa - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFXuBwjAv7s The Lost Winds - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjHXWWNPj2A

Re: Who's got a Wii?
1) Can anyone recommend a good tennis game to me? 2) Should I buy the WII motion plus? 3) What other accessories would you recommend? 4) I have decided to buy Sports Resort and Mario Karts and maybe Raving Rabbids. Does anyone have any other suggestions given that I am a 50+ woman who doesn't like RPG, shooter or fighting games?

Re: Who's got a Wii?
EA released a Tennis game that used the Motion Plus in the summer, Grand Slam Tennis.

Would you believe I'm on my 3rd Wii? And aside from playing a little Mario Brothers Wii, it hasn't been turned on much in several weeks.gh4chiefs = MORON

Re: Who's got a Wii?
Wii. So I brought it home and fired it up and I was pretty into it, faithful about using it regularily and so on. But after a couple of weeks, my body began to ache in places and ways that I'd never felt before. It was WAY harder on my body than when I work out at the local health club. Shortly thereafter I got rid of my Wii Plus followed by the second Wii.

Re: Who's got a Wii?
I don't really fall into either of those categories, and I have found that there is a only a limited selection available for hardcore, mature gamers. But I still have enough games to keep me busy, so I'm happy with the purchase. I own- Super Mario Galaxy The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess Metroid Prime Trilogy Resident Evil 4 (Wii edition) Okami (Wii edition) Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 New Super Mario Bros. Wii Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort But I'd also recommend- Guitar Hero 5 The Beatles: Rock Band DJ Hero Zack & Wiki Little King's Story Boom Blox Bash Party Punch-Out!! Super Paper Mario No More Heroes Dead Space Extraction Mario Kart Wii de Blob MadWorld EA Sports Active Wii Fit Plus Muramasa: The Demon Blade LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga Trauma Center: Second Opinion A Boy And His Blob (remake) And you can get some great downloadable WiiWare games- World Of Goo LostWinds LostWinds: Winter Of The Melodias Bomberman Blast Swords & Soldiers Mega Man 9 Contra ReBirth NyxQuest Bit.Trip games Art Style games On top of that you can get old NES, SNES, Genesis, TG-16, Sega Master System games on the Virtual Console. And there is some cool stuff coming up- Super Mario Galaxy 2 Sin & Punishment 2 Red Steel 2 the new Zelda the new Metroid So, yeah, definitely some good games out there. |

Re: Who's got a Wii?
Sadly, I only have three games for it. Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Sports and Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. Wii Sports is great for the entire family, Super Smash Bros. is a hit with kids and teenagers and Fire Emblem is geared more toward the hardcore RPG gamer. All of them are fun in their own way. Like others have said, there is a solid library of games out there, so it won't be hard to find something that will satisfy everybody's tastes. |
