New Voyages/Phase II has an extensive article on this project in their magazine. You can view it online. It has much more info than the Starlog article.
I don't think they do... anymore. It was mentioned in the other thread about this that they edited out the articles on this fan film the other day.

Interesting stuff.

Now, I can understand getting George to pitch in for this, but how the hell did they get James Shigeta?

Anyone have a pre-revised copy of the latest issue. I have the one with part one. I'd like to read part two...

Re: Lost Sulu fan film trailer 'STA: A Time to Heal' finally online

Well, struck out on the Starlog bit. The only ones I can get to are the first fifteen issues; the rest are buried under a mountain of other stuff.

I had the dubious advantage of a hard working friend helping to put the stuff in the storage unit, who was so fast that I don't know where half the stuff is in there. For instance, by the time I asked him if he'd seen by phaser collection, he'd already loaded 'em all into an empty suitcase which had already been pitched well out of reach towards the back of the unit.

There's such a thing as being too fast.

Thank you for the 'heads up'. I have placed this on my 'to do list.' I notice that they mention the Yorktown Sulu films. Do you have any idea where I might find those?
Was only the one episode with Sulu. This is the trailer for that episode which was never completed. There are new fan based Star Trek: Axiom episodes currently in development however.

Thanks. You have been assigned to letter (N) in this page of Star Trek Reviewed, http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/143.html
since you are fan film producers, but have not yet produced a complete story ready to watch.

I would like to put you on my Star Trek Fan Film Maker Map, http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/4.html

Which enables people who would like to help a fan film group find groups in their area. For that, I need an approximate location. For example, I need, "Boston Mass." but not, "123 Post Road, Boston, Mass." On the other hand, "New England" is not sufficient. That could be Fairfield Co., Conn. or Northeastern Maine. That way you can be found by the right people, but still screen them before telling them where to find you exactly if you decide to NOT let them join your group.

Should be a second trailer and more production photos available in about a week or so.

Ditto. The whole registration business is a pain in the behind.

Sounds like it was a piece of cake to register. Probably no more difficult than it was to register here.
