This game is going to suck so horribly bad and die a horrible death, but that won't stop me from suffering through it like everyone else.
Ease up on that optimism.

If you haven't heard. ST: Online will have bridges.
And here are the first images of bridges:
the famed Enterprises...the brawny Defiant from “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.”

I just found this image (scroll down to bottom) of a ship interior but it is from February 2009 so not sure if it is even accurate or a real screengrab.

Althought this medical looking bay (lit in reddish light) with 25ft. ceilings lit very moody from the September preview I somehow missed. It must be a larger vessel.

I think that screen was from another developer, before they went under and development then went to Crytpic.

Thanks. I like the look of the game and I like that some of the retro ship models have been incorporated as well. The customization with the various ship systems, as well as crew, looks pretty good too. I'm not too hot about using shuttles for boarding parties as it defeats the whole purpose a transporter.

On to what I don't like. I don't like the not too subtle swipes at those who are interested in a player crew experience. That's the second time I've heard them say something about '"being in engineering pressing buttons." If player crews are outside the direction the game's development took then just say that. But don't dismiss the desires of some to take on roles other than that of captain as button pressing. It's a computer game. What else is there to do but press buttons?

When you look at the boxart, do you think "Wow, that game looks like fun!" or do you think "Wow, look at them whore the license they got!"

Though I am actually shocked that it's not a woman in a bikini holding that crappy looking phaser.
