Re: WIP - TMP Enterprise, deck by deck

Sounds good to.
The whole thing gives me all kinds of ideas for the Enigma Class.
I found that the Engineering was just as..."easy" to develop on the Enigma as on the Enterprise Class. It's the function that is required there. the Needs of the power systems, routing and storage are very clear.

I abhor to think of how I'd have to arrange crew quarters like this.

Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully, I'll be getting back to working on it this weekend. Good luck with yours, and don't get carried away on detail - it is killing mine

That's my fuselage for the stardrive. I'ts real curvy and that what you can do with the loft command.
I imagine the saucer and the neck would be relatively easy with it. (for your work)

I'm going to boost this back to the front page so as it won't get lost

Re: WIP - TMP Enterprise, deck by deck

I have been rather preoccupied lately with a dying car and acqurinig a replacement, in the midst of which a neighbor bashed in my wife's car - so automobiles have dominated my life for the last few weeks - hopefully I can crawl out from beneath the latest one and get back to this project soon.

Quite. Fortunately, I have managed to finally crawl out from beneath (no-longer) broken cars, and get back to Enterprise. I finished the core of F-deck last night, but didn't post an image (it wouldn't be visually much different than what was previously posted). I started working on vertical positioning of E-deck, but got side-tracked again by life (Why is it always shortly before bedtime?). I may have something to post again tonight - at long last.

Re: WIP - TMP Enterprise, deck by deck

Ok, not a whole lot to show for tonight, but I can show you the start of my work on fitting decks above E inside the hull:

I have not actually placed the deck for E-deck on top of F-deck, I want to get the spacing right for the remaining decks before I actually build any more. It will be tight to fit what is supposed to be there.

Re: WIP - TMP Enterprise, deck by deck

Well, this should be easier to look at. I finished the vertical spacing on C-E decks, and did the corridor placement on E-deck. Most of what is going in there are crew quarters, with some lounges in the core. I zoomed in on the actual habitable section, most of the area of E-deck is eaten up by the low-ceiling of the upper saucer slope.

Life keeps getting in the way... but I was able to complete the E-deck rough-in today. I might even get D-deck done today too...

The model still looks great! Have you ever positioned a camera inside the model, to see if things look right from that perspective?
