Re: Sela Ward: Genre babe of the week #43 (Oct. 2009)

I thought Rebecca Romijn would knock Eliza Dushku out of the playoffs, but she just missed doing so (unless late voting changes that - but that's unlikely), and here Sela Ward looks likely to do so instead. Quelle surprise.

I voted down but now I wish I voted up to cancel out Yoda's automatic "she's too old!!!!111" vote.
Now now, her being old isn't her only problem. Though it is probably fatal enough on its own.

If 'GILFs' are your guys' thing, more power to you! I'm past the point where I expect the voting patterns here to have any correlation to actual hotness. But don't expect me to stop calling the uglies out just because you don't like it!
GILFs? Seriously, if cookie-cutter blondes with the intelligence of a houseplant are your thing, then have at it. Save the real women for the rest of us who appreciate them.

I'll go thumbs up although I liked her more as a young hottie than as a cougar.

I remember an episode of Night Court she was on years ago. She and Markie Post were in evening gowns both showing off some major rackage.

Sela Ward would've been my pick for T'Pol in ENT (and Bruce Campbell for a very differently- (intelligently-) written Archer ...); that would've been a good team.
Not to take things off track here but Bruce Campbell would have made a kick-ass starfleet Captain! I could totally see Sela ward as a Vulcan too, although with a name like Sela she might have made a better Romulan.

Oh, it's close now for the 16th spot: 76.92% for Sela Ward and 76.81% for Eliza Dushku. Although if a certain sexy visitor is a GBOW next month then it's likely that she'll knock whoever's in the 16th spot out of the playoffs.

As for Trek casting, Sela Ward would have been my second choice to play Captain Janeway (Dana Delaney being my top pick).

I'll say thumbs up. Good-looking broad and a hell of a good actress, too.

Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, the way she walks, she has a beautiful voice too. Thumbs up from me!

Hint for the next GBOW (no direct answers, please):

"No. No quiero oir nada. No quiero que me digas una palabra. Estoy harta de todas tus mentiras. Eso son todo lo que me has dicho. Cobarde."
"What does that mean?"
"It means that you are a liar and a coward. That's what it means."
"It sounded so much prettier in Spanish."

Nice babe too. But what's her "geekdom" credit?

The next GBOW is a Hall of Fame hottie. Her geekdom credits include playing a vampiric erotic dancer and playing the female lead in a certain notoriously disliked steampunk western.

She's hot.
Guess I'll wait for Yoda to tell me that she is too old and how she fails at hotness, her IMDB says born in '66.

Ok, fair dues. I didn't see that particular "steampunk western" and I don't watch vampire stuff any more.

"Vampire" is way extreme for that role she played.

She was more inspiring than that. Infact she was Inspiration. She also helped stopped the unmaking of exsistance.
