I voted down but now I wish I voted up to cancel out Yoda's automatic "she's too old!!!!111" vote.
Now now, her being old isn't her only problem. Though it is probably fatal enough on its own.

If 'GILFs' are your guys' thing, more power to you! I'm past the point where I expect the voting patterns here to have any correlation to actual hotness. But don't expect me to stop calling the uglies out just because you don't like it!

She has an old fashioned, classic kind of beauty. Thumbs up.

The hint posted in last week's thread was an old picture of her from her cheeleading days at the University of Alabama. Here's another one...

She's almost Gidget-like in that pic.
I've had a serious appreciation for her since Sisters. Thumbs way up.

At the age of 39, she was rejected for the Bond Girl role in Tomorrow Never Dies, reportedly because she was too old. Here's what she had to say about it... "I'd never felt more sexy and more confident as a woman, and more ready as an actress. Yet, as I quickly discovered, if you were over 35, you weren't any of those things as far as Hollywood is concerned."
What really kills me about this is that they ended up casting Teri Hatcher, who was in the middle of her starving-herself-and-looking-like-shit phase. Seeing Teri's gauntness on the big screen was so off-putting.

I've never posted or voted in one of these "Genre babe of the week" threads, but I had to come in and vote on this one. Absolute thumbs up. She's been amazing for a long time.
Likewise, I've never voted, either. I've liked her since 1985, when she was as funny as she was pretty in the wonderfully hilarious but almost forgotten Rustlers' Rhapsody:

Does anyone besides me love that movie? I also remember her as the beautiful baddie in the short-lived Emerald Point N.A.S., which was like Dallas at a navy base.

Sela Ward is a beauty and total class.

It is and can be found for less than 10 USD. It is a very clever, subtle satire of western movie conventions, especially matinee heroes like Gene Autrey and Roy Rogers. The jokes are very much under-played, unlike Blazing Saddles, leaving a lot up to the audience, which may be why it was not very successful. It is a movie that improves with repeat viewings. Tom Berenger plays the hero very straight, which is actually funnier than if he'd gone for laughs.

If you'd like see Andy Griffith playing a closeted gay power-mad cattle baron, that's the movie for you! It also has G.W. Bailey, Marilu Henner, Fernando Rey and Patrick Wayne. It's one of my favorites, and one that I quote a lot.

oh wait...

I remember her playing Christines hot friend in a Night Court episode, that both Harry & dan were over.
She went with Dan.

Oh, to get my hands on that zipper ...

Thanks, Aragorn!

Sela Ward would've been my pick for T'Pol in ENT (and Bruce Campbell for a very differently- (intelligently-) written Archer ...); that would've been a good team.

Well this is quite a shocker, much to Yoda's dismay. I expected Sela Ward to be nothing but a filler to pass the time until next week. If she maintains her current rating, she might make the playoffs!
