Also HBO has no standards, they will show intercourse, Showtime is the one with limits. However I think HBO has standards when it comes to a TV series.

I have never seen true intercourse on HBO-real penetration. I've also seen plenty of porn. For a tv show that was alot of fucking. In Europe that might be a standard television commercial's worth. I used the term freaky porno because I went to a girlfriend's house and put the movie Ninja Scroll in the DVD player. They don't show penetration in those, but lots of weird shit. There is plenty of nudity, but penetration is so restricted that me and my girlfriend rented what we thought was porn on cable. It was as soft as a cheap titty flick on Cinemax.

Anna Paquin is a horrible actor, I don't know how anyone here can think she isn't, she is simply horrible.

The only reason she got the part is because she's naked a lot. In that regard the show is a porno because most of the acting is weak at best.

Actually, Anna's contract has a no-nudity clause. Which means, when she got the part, there was not going to be ANY nudity from her. The nudity only began with her after she was in a relationship with Moyer, and was comfortable enough to forgo that clause.

In that regard, your post is now invalidated.

Im about to start watching this series soon, its the next dvd in my Netflix queue...I hope I like it. I usually love vampires & I loved Moonlight but I could never get into the Whedon vampire shows...

Something to keep in mind when you see this show ... Charlaine Harris is foremost a mystery writer. It's just in her blood. So while there are definitely supernatural elements in the Southern Vampire series of books, each one is, at its core, a mystery book.

True Blood, the series based on her books, takes that core and runs with it. There are changes (a lot of them, really), but at its heart, it's a mystery series that happens to also have supernaturals in it.

Vampires, Weres, and other creatures of myth and legend.
