Sounds more like he's judging the fans of Lost.

Lost is a classic. It's a modern updating of the classic jungle pulp adventure genre that actually works. If they can pull off a decent ending, it will be in the same category as Babylon 5.

Re: Kiele Sanchez: Genre babe of the week #32 (Aug. 2009)

I'm not razzing on the fans of LOST, I'm knocking the show.

My father watched it fairly religiously and told me that I was right about what happened during the first season, which I told him was going to happen after I had seen the first ten minutes of the pilot, so it is clichéd if I can figure that out, or maybe I've watched far more shows than you have, or I'm smarter than you are, I don't know.

I'm not saying any of you are dumb, so don't get on your high horses about it, I'm just saying that LOST did not appeal to me and was fairly run of the mill, no matter how it was dressed up. I thought Alias was bad too, so JJ is only 1/3 for me. Cloverfield was awful, but Star Trek and MI:III were good, so it's 2/3 there.

If everyone liked the same stuff, then the world would be a very boring place.

Well there goes your credibility when it comes to pointing out mindless and cliched plots.

When it comes to films, they're all mostly cliched so I just ignore it and watch the film, I don't mind doing that. But when it comes to television series that I'm going to be investing a significant chunk of my time in, I expect something more.

Is this sort of discussion going to happen again when Marsha Thomason becomes GBotW?

I take it you've not heard what happens in seasons 2, 3, 4 and 5 then.

That was the worst picture of them all!!! She looks drunk and sweat-trashy.
You say that like it's a bad thing...

Still, I had to go with sidewise. Smokin' bod, but most of these pictures make her look like she'd need a bag over her head.

I don't think Marsha is going to be coming up anytime soon, but there is at least one Lost regular left who's due.
