"Jennifer's Body" trailer

Diablo Cody's rather interesting second feature, starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried; they put out this R-rated trailer because they thought the official studio trailer didn't capture the movie well enough.

I'm not normally a fan of horror movies, but it looks fun (clarifying that Jennifer is "actually evil" rather than "high school evil" got a laugh). And they somehow managed to make Seyfried look dowdy.

Looks like the movie has a fun, Buffy-esque vibe.

Well, there's $9 I won't have to spend. Not particularly witty. Not even a little scary looking.

Looks utterly dreadful.

"From the mind of Diablo Cody."

No surprise there. It's Diablo Cody.

Don't get all the Diablo Cody hate. For a first film, JUNO was cute and clever and had a lot of heart. And I've been enjoying her column in ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY.

JUNO was ok, but I do however like Diablo's show on showtime: the United States of Tara. This movie, ehh, I'll catch it on DVD or On Demand

Looks good, and Cody is great. I'll pay to see this one.

That looks like a good horror film with good bits of comedy thrown in. Megan Fox nude and semi nude. And Adam Brody is always a plus. That guy is hilarious.

Looks funny.

But Veronica Mars has given me a weird thing with Amanda Seyfried. Whenever I see her, I can't help thinking, "Aren't you dead?"

^ Watching Alpha Dog might give you a different opinion of Amanda Seyfried. And a different view of Olivia Wilde!

I don't know if there is much. Juno made money by the wheelbarrow full and most people I've met love it.

I still think it was a very transparent attempt at manufacturing hip and quirky. Not to mention a lot of the dialog is just god awful.

Whew...I'm glad that Megan Fox is veering out of mindless over-the-top movies and delving into deep character art house films...
