Re: Alison Lohman: Genre babe of the week #23 (June 2009)

Oh, right, I misunderstood and thought you meant that people often make the same joke I just did, whereas I see now that you meant people often use the word "barely" in discussing their vote. Sorry for the confusion. Yes, I'm sure they do, but the joke only occurred to me upon seeing it this time. I might be slow, but I get there eventually.

I'll give her the ol' thumbs up for these two, otherwise, she's merely cute.

It turns out this is from a scene in a movie called Delirious. You can download the scene here.

Hint for the next GBOW (no direct answers):

Marshall, Will and Holly
On a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known.
High on the rapids
It struck their tiny raft
And plunged them down a thousand feet below.

I'll chuck in a thumbs up vote for her.

^^^^^Well, somehow I doubt it's Kathy Coleman.

I may vote sideways... but if her pictures can sway me, I could go with a passable thumbs-up.

I guess we'll find out on Friday.

I didn't mean that as a joke at all, I just meant it was close between "thumbs sideways" and "thumbs up" for me.
Is there some wordplay I'm missing or something?

Wow, another clue that I actually got; I expect this candidate will get a Thumbs Up (the movie won't, though ).

If I was going just by the second pic in the top row, it'd be thumbs up... But given the rest of the pics... Down.

Its a brunette so I like the choice already. Pics will determine it for sure.

Wordplay I suppose. I was just showing how the phrase "barely up" is used cause a joke was made about it. Its ok, nothing to worry about.
