I would place a bet on never. They will have to redesign it for NuTrek now.

Has anyone heard anything concrete on when this is coming out?
The last I have read is March 2010, but I wouldn't bet my mortgage on it.

Atari's latest financial report[3], released May 30, 2009, indicates an estimated release date during their current fiscal year, ending March 2010.

This looks like Ba'ku village in 'Star Trek: Insurrection'.
A small village an alien planet: home to the Ba'ku.
compare with the memory alpha photo from the film.

What do you guys think?
Could also be Bajoran.

Not really impressed so far and I had high hopes for this game and was seriously considering getting it. Which is the complete opposite to the KOTOR MMO, at first I had no interest but the more I see of it the more I dig.

Negative- this MMO is clearly set in the Prime universe (as indicated by the site updates the place Romulus as being destroyed by the Hobus star in this universe)

On MMORPG.com they recently posted an update stating this game will be ready by around March 2010. I'm looking forward to it, along with Star Wars: The Old Republic. Speaking of which... have you seen the new teaser trailer for it?

I'd really like to see something like the 60 minutes of CGI animated cinematics in-game created for "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" that was released September 2008.
I wrote earlier this year.
see:

Not quite a movie, I'd like to see a Star Trek animated series like this. Both trailers are pretty good. a little different styles. The Old Republic looks like better lighting. Don't you think this would work as a Trek CG animation series?

Re: 3D CGI Star Trek

Oh how I wish someone would do something like this for Trek. But it's never seemed to be a route Trek producers have been interested in. Who knows? If The Clone Wars pan out maybe TPTB will consider doing something similar for Trek.

I completely beat The Force Unleashed on PSP a little over a week ago. Has some things that the PS3 version does not and vice versa. Best Star Wars game ever, IMHO.

You know why Star Wars games like SWTOR work? Cause Star Wars at its roots is sword and sorcercy fantasy, they designers stick to what works and what Star Wars is. Trek, they keep seeming to miss the target.

I still have high hopes for this. I'm a little surprised at how far away it is though.

Plenty of time to drop your hopes, my friend.
