Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Remake... Without Joss
Willow: It's Willow. Buffy: Willow? No way! That's totally the name I was gonna make up for you! I kind of get the feeling we should be quoting Nemesis here, though.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Remake... Without Joss
Only way a movie would be done is with Whedon but I think if he ever decided to go bigscreen with that verse then a joint BUFFY/ANGEL/SPIKE movie would be needed. Only question what would it be called I guess BTVS is the more common known show.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Remake... Without Joss
So Whedon by himself is not always a good thing. More often then not, it tends to be kind of bad. Look at Dollhouse. If Greenwalt was involved rather then Whedon I'd have more confidence in it. But neither are involved, so it will probably be just as forgetable as the first one was. That being said, it will still probably be more watchable then the last two seasons of Buffy and the last season of Angel. Because if Whedon was in charge of this thing, you could just ditch the title "Buffy" and rename it "The Spike Movie".

If we're lucky, the entire project will fall apart.

That said, I kind of just want them to remake Buffy using the Star Trek script, because all these quotes make entirely too much sense. |

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Remake... Without Joss
Buffy The Vampire Slayer is heading back to the big screen with a new movie based on the hit franchise. The character, most famously played by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the hit TV series, was originally introduced in the 1992 movie of the same name, starring Kristy Swanson. The following TV show ran for six years before coming to an end in 2003. And now the blood-sucking series could be heading back to the big screen with a brand new vampire slayer. Director Fran Rubel Kuzui, who directed the original film and executive produced the TV programme, owns the rights to the Buffy brand and is planning to reboot the franchise for cinemas, replacing Gellar and the rest of the cast with new actors to fight demons in a different generation. Kuzui tells the Hollywood Reporter, "Everything has its moment. Every movie takes on a life at some point, and this seems like the moment to do this."
