I would choose either the original starship Enterprise or the USS stargazer.

My favorite ship is the Excelsior, the one commanded by Captain Sulu.

Tough call, Either the NX-CLASS, or the modified NOVA CLASS, Rhode Island type variant.

There's something about the the TOS Enterprise that just says class.
The TOS Enterprise was rather chunky in places, and had flimsy-looking nacelle struts.

The Enterprise in the first six films had class.

I love big powerful ships, so it would either be the Enterprise-E or the Enterprise-D. Most likely the -D since if I am gonna be in space for a long time, i want to go in the utmost luxury.

Re: What ship would you choose?

It depends what the question implies.
Did you mean a ship that is mine (read: I'm the captain) with a full crew? Then it would be probably a Sovereign class or an Akira Class, nice and comfy. A Prometheus Class would be fun too!
Did you mean a ship that is just for me, and thus that I should be able to manage alone (with just the help of the computer), than a nice customized Defiant Class, with an holodeck and some leisure space added instead of some of the crew quarters. If that is too expensive , I'll go for a nice Danube Class runabout: those things are awesome if well configured, I can see them as space salon, more or less a good Audi A8 equivalent

I'd kill for a Negh'var battlecruiser though... but let's stay into the Federation and stay pratical. Yeah, right!

I'd choose the Simtar and my dream team would begin our mission in the gamma quadrant.

I'd pick the Enterprise E. IMO, it's the best looking ship ever designed for Trek.

So no one is picking the Grissom?? I mean, who doesn't want to take a transporter to get from the saucer section to the rest of the ship? LOL

I'd be toast at the first encounter with a hostile alien, I'll pick the Galaxy class.
I was always left with the impression the Galaxy Class ships were flawed and weak in combat.

Why would the Borg lie?

"Captain Jean-Luc Picard, you lead
the strongest ship of the
Federation Starfleet. You speak
for your people."

-BOBW Part I

The Ent-D always aquitted itself in well in combat. Those K'vort class BOP in Yesterday's Enterprise were huge and had a 3:1 advantage. Also Riker boasts of the recent "pasting" the Klingons recieved at Archer IV. The only firefight I will not accept is one in Rascals. That was complete crap.

The Galaxies were kicking serious ass in the Dominion war.

I should have been a bit more clear, sorry. You would have a full crew complement to command and go where you'd want to.

well I've always loved the Klingon BoP- but I'd want the one that can fire cloaked. I'm sure I could find out a way to avoid gas-seeking torpedos.
Then I'd stay away from the beans.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

i have to go with a romulan war bird. its in my opinion the best looking ship in the trek universe and it was powerful with cloaking ability.

if i have to choose a federation ship, it would be the defiant or the excellsiar (cant spell!)
