If that's their intention, they didn't do a good job ...

I don't know, I'm miss a LOT with this show and I picked up on that right away. It seemed clear to me that's what they were doing based on Miles' comments. However we probably won't ever know for sure, that's probably the extent of that particular incident. Unless Chang or somebody like that gets a flashback episode.

Gave it an average.

Couldn't give it more after Hurley who is suppose to be a fan and has seen ESB 800 times was unable to get the end of the Luke vs Vader fight scene right by saying that Luke kept fighting Vader after he found out about his parentage and then lost his hand. Unforgivable...next he'll be telling people on the island that Greedo shot first!

There are plenty of things I pick up on, that later turn out to be nothing.

Just because you picked up on it, doesn't mean that was their intention.

You could be right, but ..., I just think it's too far of a stretch. - like this guy is the only guy working over there who has had fillings? not likely.

Hey no problem. Believe what you want. I know what I saw. You don't think that's what it was. Not worth arguing over. Like I said, that scene will probably never be revisited so we'll probably never know.

Someone hacked into the Star Wars Wiki last night:

LOL!

Although, I don't think you have to hack into it. Still, very funny.
You really don't. But, yes, that's a good one.

When Miles was being tested by Niomi, the receipts for the fake plane crash were again mentioned. The man was apparently bringing them to Widmore.

Could it be that Widmore had this evidence gathered against someone else who faked the crash? Perhaps it was Ben who had the crash faked in order to "protect the Island."

What if it was Dharma that covered up the plane crash, not Widmore or Ben?

That's certainly a possibility at this point if something of them survives.

My take was that they were using the plane crash to confirm his abilities, ie they're getting him to say something they already knew but he couldn't possibly have. So that Widmore is behind the fake plane.

The biggest shocker this evening: Widmore is NOT behind Illana and the "shadow of the statute" conspiracy. So that leaves A) Ben, B) Modern Day Dharma, C) unknown new party.
I thought about Modern Day Dharma as a possibility.
I think that's the most logical answer. That doesn't mean it's necessarily correct.
I agree that modern day Dharma makes the most sense. Though the other potential player would be Eloise Hawking. Could even have something to do with whatever Faraday does in the 1970s, during the years that he was off-Island, before he returns in the sub.

In fact, even if there's no connection to Ilana & friends, I do think it would be really cool to have Faraday, while he's on the mainland in the 1970s, arrange for circumstances to play out in the future such that they all end up getting rescued, and brought back to 2007.

There's still the mystery of the Dharma food drop in season2.

That's actually crossed my mind lately. I wonder if that came out of a time jump.

We do know now that the island continues to jump through time, right? I'm reminded of a scene with Hurley and Sayid in an early episode where they're listening to a radio, and they hear music that might have been from like the 1940s or something. Sayid says since radio signals bounce off of the atmosphere (or something like that), it could have come from anywhere, and Hurley says "Or any time..."

At first I thought he was joking, but maybe they really were in the 1940s at that moment, and they just didn't know it.
