What happens to Cupcake (No spoilers)

Many of you know Cupcake from these two scenes

First, where he gets to beat up a young Kirk in Iowa. Second where he is guarding an older Kirk and Scotty on the bridge of the Enterprise.

Unfortunately, he has a poor choice of color for his uniform.

Is Cupcake doomed? Will he die a tragic death? Will Kirk sprinkle some red frosting on him and eat him for breakfast? Will Cupcake go on a diet?

What is Cupcakes fate? (no spoilers from the movie for those that already know if Cupcake got toasted-- beyond the clips that we've seen)

Cupcake is going to be the famous Redshirt- he's the redshirt that started the downfall of all other Redshirts. In fact, I'm going to say that he starts 2 trends: redshirts dying and eating exploding consoles.
