I think you might be right about that. I was trying to figure out what the payoff was going to be. You can't really kill Ben in 1977 and break the time travel rules. However, if he just recuperates that's a bit lame as well. Yep, I think the ironic thing is that Sayid just created the Ben that he set out to kill.

Also the Dharma "higher ups" aren't on the island.
Apparently they're in Ann Arbor. Did we know this before? I didn't recall that.

We knew the DeGroots were from Uni Michigan, and we've never seen them living on the Island yet. And the Blast Door Map mentions DeGroot inspections which suggests they only visit the Island every few years.

Re: Lost 5x10: "He's Our You"

I rated this average. The past two or three episodes haven't been all that exciting. The last episode that was really good was the Jeremy Bentham one. The stuff with Sawyer, Juliet, and crew on the island and what went on for three years is a lot less interesting than I was hoping. Maybe it's just because I don't care much for the characters that stayed behind, but I thought that the reveals have been pretty boring for the past few weeks. This episode was better, so hopefully next week it will continue going up.

This was a great episode...And four more to go..which means we will have to wait until next year (2010) to get the rest of the episodes..I HATE that!!!

There are six more weeks with a two hour finale! Don't fret! I think there's also one recap show thrown in the mix.

A recap special or a clip show episode? If it's the latter, I'll pass. Clip shows suck. TNG's "Shades of Gray," for example....

You must have missed the SG-1 clip shows then. You wouldn't even know that what they were.

Probably a recap. A true clip show would be out of character.

Ann Arbor? What's up with that? I thought the HQ on the mainland was Portland.
The others told Juliet they were located in Portland before they dragged her to the island.

Yeah, but they later said they weren't (and were never Dharma anyway).

Does Sayid know about the island's healing abilities? If I were him, I would've unloaded the gun into Ben, then chopped him up into many pieces and spread him across the island, maybe feed some parts to the animals.
